mIRROR THE IMAGE

By Pastor Danny Borrell

The appearance of Christ is the central point in the history of salvation in humankind. There must have been some mighty movement taking place in the Heavenlies before His coming to earth. Ever so slightly a scripture lifts the veil, and we hear Him say, “Thou hast indeed prepared a body for me.” (Hebrews 10:5-7)

Jesus did the incomprehensible. He left the splendor of heaven and became as much human as you and I. In leaving the free unlimited world, the absoluteness of God’s rule, and the divine form, He entered the limits of time and space that we live with every day. The fountain of love gave up everything so that He might save us. (John 3:15-16)  He is the central point. In His coming we are united together with Him and now we are seated with Him in heavenly places. (Ephesians 2:6) We mirror His holiness and love as well as His willingness to be a vessel of blessing for others as He shines anew out of us who bear the image of the Son of God. (Colossians 3:10)
